Here are some ideas to help save you money on your footwear investment:

When you first purchase cowboy boots, work boots or dress shoes, get them polished right away.

If your new footwear is suede get a water repellant on before you wear them out of doors.

Use cedar shoe trees to hold the form of your footwear investment.

Clean footwear with an all purpose cleaner and conditioner on a weekly basis depending on wear frequency.

For dress shoes, use a premium shoe polish or polishing creame to protect the finish and keep the shine.

Salt Stains: can be removed with Fiebing's ® Salt Stain Remover

Drying of footwear wet from the elements should be done by placing near fan on lowest speed. Do not place in heated clothes dryer.

Use insoles to add comfort to work boots or other work shoe.

Always use a shoe spoon to put on shoes. For excessive wear inside the heel area, we can replace the heel liner.

Some common repairs we make include replacing or adding velcro, elastic, zippers, and straps. Many times purses, handbags and briefcases need zipper repair as well.

On a regular basis we have request to change soles from leather to rubber or vice versa. This change is possible in most cases. However, we encourage you to call or email a photo to us so we can be more precise.

Many customers prefer to have us dye footwear to facilitate a wardrobe enhancement.
We also touchup dye when scuffs are prominent -- this happens a lot on cordovan dress shoes and some open leather boots.

We replace zippers in coats and other gear with heavy duty metal zippers. Note our email address is not hotmail or yahoo, our web domain name reflects our business name and street address. We can resole with same material type -OR- our veteran cobblers will (when possible) change sole material type upon request. Some customers request change from leather to neoprene soles, rubber to leather soles, leather to crepe soles and some request cork soles when available.
